Agency delivery workflow
Client report QA checklist before delivery
Check claims, evidence, decisions, ownership, and next steps before an agency report reaches the client.
Target outcome
A delivery package that separates supported claims, unresolved questions, client decisions, and the next reporting action.
Work through the evidence
before the final claim.
- 01
Name the reporting decision
State what the report should help the client decide. A collection of charts without a decision frame makes completeness impossible to judge.
- 02
Tie every material claim to evidence
For each conclusion, identify the metric, period, comparison, source, and limitation. Mark unsupported interpretations as draft instead of presenting them as fact.
- 03
Separate observation from recommendation
What happened, why it may have happened, and what to do next are different claims with different evidence requirements.
- 04
Finish the handoff
Record owners, requested client decisions, due dates, missing inputs, and what will be measured in the next report.
Example input
A concrete first pass
A monthly report stating that campaign quality improved because conversion rate rose from 2.1% to 2.8%, without traffic mix or sample context.
Reviewable output
A supported observation, an explicit limitation about mix and denominator, a bounded hypothesis, and a request for the next decision.
The client can act without mistaking a plausible explanation for a verified cause.
Important boundaries
What this workflow does not prove
- QA cannot manufacture missing analytics evidence.
- The final commercial or strategic decision remains with the responsible people.
- Do not include confidential client data in a public sample.
